Lillian Steenblik Hwang is the web producer for Science News for Students. Lillian's family has a long love for Science News; a magazine she grew up reading and that covered some of her father's inventions. Her father's spiral solar cooker appeared on the cover of the March 28, 1981 issue, in a story penned by Janet Raloff.

Lillian was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.  Lillian has a B.S. in biology (and a minor in chemistry) from Georgia State University and an M.S. in science journalism from Boston University. As a science journalist she has worked in a wide variety of roles in both digital and print media.

Lillian loves devouring books, cooking, playing video games, knitting, hanging out with her bunny, trying to limit herself to a reasonable number of hobbies, and going biking with her husband.
